Code 5213 applies to all commercial types of concrete building construction, self-bearing floors, foundations, piers, culverts, silos, grain elevators, etc., and includes making and erecting forms, placing reinforcing steel and stripping forms. Code 5213 would apply to each of the aforementioned steps in the concrete construction process whether all work is performed by the principal contractor or portions of the job—such as making or erecting forms—are completed by a specialty subcontractor.
